Dr. Gilbert McLaughlin is Assistant Professor (Lecturer) at Liverpool Hope University in the UK. He has extensive experience teaching criminology courses, as well as quantitative and spatial methodologies, for undergraduate and graduate students. He specializes in research on policing and the prevention of political violence.​​​​​​​​​​

​​​​​​​​On Thursday, July 9th from 3:00 - 4:00 PM, Dr. Gilbert McLaughlin will be conducting a teaching demonstration as part of a series of candidate presentations for a Teaching Professor Tenure Track position in Sociology/Criminology.
The presentation will take place in Carleton Hall, Room 106 and will also be available to watch remotely via Microsoft Teams.

Dr. Mary Aspinall is Assistant Professor (LTA) in the Department of Criminology and Criminal Justice at St. Thomas University. She has taught criminology courses for three universities. Her research focuses on intimate partner violence including police and criminal justice system responses to coercive control and domestic homicide prevention.​​

He is a political economist with research interests in critical criminology, toxic masculinity, policing and corporate crime.
